The Power of 3 – Are you an Aqua Fitness Instructor and run multiple classes each week? Research has shown the aqua class participants value the fitness component of your workout most. So how do you regularly come up with new, fitness focussed workouts? In this session you will learn an easy to apply 3-step method to plan balanced full body water workouts. You will also walk away with a ready-to-use full workout plus a template to plan your future classes. Lianne Tiemens is an award-winning PT, Group Fitness Instructor and Aqua Presenter from Sydney, Australia. A passionate, motivating and in-demand instructor who specialises in land- and water-based functional group training. Her motto is, “movement is freedom”. Lianne is dedicated to working towards everyday greatness with real people and real fitness options, motivated by a desire to connect and inspire through fitness.
Primal Pyramid – this challenging masterclass includes the seven primal movement patterns that are considered foundational to how we all move – gait, push, pull, twist, squat, hinge, and lunge. This workout, building up and then descending down the Primal Pyramid, improves cardio endurance and all over body strength. Debi Godfrey has been teaching Aqua Fitness since 1995. She is the creator of the Liquid Barre, Liquid Barre: Extension, and Aqua Global Rhythms programs and is qualified as an Aqua Gymstick, Aqua Zumba, Acquapole Level 1, Acquapole Boxing, Acquapole Elastics Instructor. Debi has presented at several Fitness and Aquatic conferences within Australia and internationally for the South African Water Fitness Association.
Power Circuit – What’s your plan to attract younger and cross-generational participants to try aqua fitness? How do you get that addictive, can’t-miss Saturday morning feeling? This masterclass showcases a gym-style ‘Power Circuit’ class that replicates the Les Mills experience using innovative drag-resistant equipment including AquaStrength Barbells and Aqualogix hand bells. Karyn Ward is an experienced fitness professional who re-discovered her love of water workouts following knee surgery. Karyn’s strength focused workouts utilise new-style drag resistance equipment. Her classes cater to a wide range of ages and abilities including NDIS and Aged Care clients. Each week Karyn teaches over 400 participants and her innovative training formats are successfully attracting increasing numbers of young people to the pool.
Aqua Ball Challenge – this fun yet dynamic water workout uses small pool balls to create a unique blend of cardio and strength challenge of high repetitions and moderate resistance workouts. Research suggests improving grip strength helps improve overall body strength so grab a ball, a short noodle piece or a light resistance hand buoy and get ready to smile or grit your way through this intriguing workout experience.
