Monitoring and correcting client’s movement is important to ensure we get the best outcomes and prevent injury. In this session Dom will analyse underwater workouts for technique, common contraindications, appropriate range and motion for injury prevention and offer suggestions to share with clients to get the best out of every water workout.
3pm – Not Just A Dumbbell – Marietta Mehanni (Australia) – 45 mins
Experience the many ways that a single dumbbell can be used in a water based exercise class. Incorporating cardiovascular moves with stabilization exercises, Marietta will demonstrate exercise concepts that include both unilateral and bilateral movements, using only one dumbbell.
4pm – Up the Ante with Focused Classes and Social Media – Lianne Tiemens (Australia) – 45 mins
How can you turn your classes into a workout experience? One that your participants don’t want to miss. Join Lianne as she discusses how focused classes and social media are a perfect combo helping you turning a workout into an experience, to promote your classes, educate your participants, create virtual connections, and celebrate group and individual successes.
5pm – Water Kombat Training – Silvia Senati (Italy) – 45 mins
Kombat moves meets water properties to train all the body systems. Use water properties as resistance to stimulate muscles and to destabilize the body to improve core, balance, posture in the water. Water workouts with specific and non usual movements can create a total body training experience.

Make exercise fun! ‘Move, Train, Play’ is a fun filled approach to aquatic group fitness for all ages and fitness levels. Steph shares mobility moves and movement patterns that improve posture and stability. Learn new ways to use laughter, play and competition to disguise the effort needed to achieve results fir your clients.
9.30am – Wave Warrior – Jenni Lynn Patterson-Lacour (USA) – 60 mins
Whether your aqua class is 30, 45 or 60 minutes long, you can provide your students with the calorie and muscle burn they want every time they come to class. This total body aquatic workout that takes interval training to the next level by combining strength, cardio, flexibility & intense core training.
10.45am – Aqua Exercise for Pre/Post Natal – Lisa Westlake (Australia) – 60 mins
Water based exercise is an ideal option for pre and postnatal women. Join Lisa to consider the physiology of pregnancy, the considerations of immersion, common pregnancy related conditions and to discuss exercise programming and modifications to allow you to confidently and effectively welcome prenatal women to your aqua classes.
